As a father and a husband in a world that seems to have chaos all around, I have grown to realize the importance of being a part of a community of faith. It is what keeps me anchored on what is right and pure with hope and assurance. That is my personal desire for you, to find a home where the chaos seems to fade.

 

Henderson First Methodist Church can be that place for you and invites you to become a part of our family where we seek to KNOW Christ, GROW in Christ and GO to serve Christ. One way to get to KNOW Christ is to come and worship with us on Sunday mornings. We GROW together through small groups such as Bible studies, Sunday school, Children & Youth groups, and home groups. We GO as we participate in the many missional opportunities, both local and international, that are available for all ages.

Summer Psalms Sermon Series

Join us for our summer sermon series called “Summer Psalms: Prayers for Real Life.” The Book of Psalms has been the prayer book and songbook of God’s people for thousands of years. The Psalms give us words for every season of life—joy and sorrow, fear and faith, confession and forgiveness, thanksgiving and trust. Together, we will discover how these ancient prayers still help us speak honestly to God and trust Him in every season. Join us as we open God’s Word and allow the prayers of the Psalms to shape our hearts.

 Wear Pink On Sunday, October 4th

We are honored to partner once again with the Fire Department for their annual Paint the Town Pink event this October. This important fundraiser provides support for individuals in Rusk County who are bravely battling cancer. As part of our support for this meaningful cause, we encourage everyone to wear pink to church on Sunday, October 4th. We hope to see everyone wearing pink as we come together to support our neighbors and share hope throughout our community.

All Saints' Sunday

On November 1st at 10:00am, we will gather for a special One Worship Service in the Sanctuary to remember and celebrate the lives of those who have passed from this life to eternity in the past year. We invite you to join us for this meaningful and hope-filled service.
